Welcome to Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra, a vibrant new dining destination on the Historic Marietta Square. Co-owners Gianni Betti, a Florence, Italy native and culinary visionary, and local restaurateur Randy “Mac” McCray, are bringing authentic Italian cuisine, an award-winning wine selection, and a warm, inviting atmosphere to downtown Marietta.


At the heart of Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra is a dedication to tradition. From artisanal pizzas crafted with a heritage dough recipe to a charcuterie and mozzarella bar featuring imported meats, cheeses, and freshly made mozzarella, every detail celebrates the flavors of Italy. The beverage program offers Italian-crafted cocktails and Mediterranean wines, ensuring a complete culinary experience.


Guests can savor their meals in the cozy dining room or enjoy the charm of an outdoor patio that opens to a picturesque park and courtyard—perfect for al fresco dining. Rooted in community and inspired by Italian piazzas, Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra embodies the spirit of family and connection. Randy "Mac" McCray is a distinguished restaurateur known for his innovative dining concepts in the Atlanta area. As owner of Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra, he brings a passion for exceptional cuisine and community-focused hospitality to the Historic Marietta Square.


Alongside his wife and business partner, Kelly, Randy has successfully launched several acclaimed establishments, including Mac’s Chophouse, Mac’s Raw Bar and The Mill Kitchen and bar. Their commitment to delivering quality dining experiences has made them integral to Marietta's vibrant culinary scene.


Randy's dedication to excellence in food and service is evident in each of his ventures, where he combines a welcoming ambiance with innovative flavors. His collaboration with Chef Gianni Betti at Gianni & Mac’s reflects a shared vision of bringing authentic Italian cuisine to the community, creating a space where guests feel like family.


Through his work, Randy continues to enrich the local dining landscape, fostering connections and memorable experiences for all who visit his restaurants.

OWNER, CHEF

Born and raised in the picturesque town of Regello, Italy, in the heart of Tuscany, Gianni Betti brings a lifetime of culinary expertise and passion to Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra. A graduate of the prestigious Instituto Alberghiero Aurelio Saffi in Florence, Gianni began his career by launching Fattoria degli Usignoli, a restaurant nestled in the Florentine countryside, with his brothers.


Gianni’s culinary journey soon took him to the U.S., where he honed his skills at Germano's Trattoria Petrucci in Baltimore, Maryland. There, he forged a partnership that led to the creation of Cibo e Beve, a celebrated Italian restaurant in Atlanta. Gianni also returned to Italy to open Antica Posta Restaurant and a Bed & Breakfast in the Chianti region, a renowned destination for food enthusiasts.


After returning to the U.S., Gianni served as executive chef at Posta Tuscan in Raleigh, North Carolina, and later joined his brothers in Atlanta to lead Antica Posta in Buckhead as executive chef and general manager. Building on his rich culinary experience, he co-founded Cibo e Beve in 2018 and Toscano in 2021, further solidifying his reputation as a visionary in Italian cuisine.


Now, at Gianni & Mac’s, Gianni combines his deep-rooted Italian heritage with a passion for authentic flavors and hospitality, offering a dining experience that transports guests to the heart of Tuscany.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & EVENTS

Chloe Davey is the creative force behind the seamless operations and unforgettable events at Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra. As the Director of Operations and Events, Chloe has brought her vision and meticulous attention to detail to every aspect of the restaurant, playing a pivotal role in bringing the imagination of Gianni & Mac’s to life.


With a passion for hospitality and a talent for creating memorable experiences, Chloe ensures that every guest feels welcomed and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. From curating one-of-a-kind private events to overseeing daily operations, her commitment to excellence shines in everything she does.


Chloe’s ability to blend authentic Italian charm with modern flair has made Gianni & Mac’s a vibrant and inviting destination for the community. Her dedication to making every moment special reflects the heart and soul of the restaurant, where family, friends, and exceptional dining come together.

Andrea Barker

General Manager


Originally from the UK, Andrea brings over two decades of senior management experience—and a genuine love for hospitality—to her role as General Manager at Gianni & Mac’s. After a successful career in the education sector, Andrea moved to Georgia to pursue a lifelong dream: creating meaningful experiences through exceptional service.


Her journey with LEAD Hospitality began at Mac’s Chophouse, where her leadership and attention to detail quickly became invaluable. When the opportunity arose to help open Gianni & Mac’s, Andrea embraced it with her signature passion and drive.

At Gianni & Mac’s, Andrea leads with warmth, precision, and purpose. She’s known for anticipating the needs of guests before they even sit down, cultivating a front-of-house culture that’s both professional and deeply personal. Whether it’s a special celebration or a casual night out, Andrea ensures each guest feels like famiglia.


She thrives on connecting with the community, mentoring her team, and curating an environment where authentic Italian dining meets heartfelt hospitality. From her first greeting to the final farewell, Andrea’s touch is felt in every detail—and in every unforgettable experience at Gianni & Mac’s.

With a heart for hospitality and a passion for service, Dylan Setzer brings energy, warmth, and a strong sense of purpose to his role as Front of House Manager at Gianni & Mac’s.


Originally joining the team at Mac’s Chophouse in July, Dylan’s leadership and guest-first mentality quickly stood out. By December, he was offered the opportunity to help launch Gianni & Mac’s—an invitation he proudly accepted.


Dylan believes in creating unforgettable dining experiences through intentional service and a culture of hospitality. “I have a desire to serve,” he says. “Making sure every guest has the best possible time with us—that’s what drives me.”


At Gianni & Mac’s, Dylan’s favorite part is the camaraderie of the team and the vibrant, authentic atmosphere. “We’ve hand-selected an incredible staff and paired it with a beautiful space and cuisine that speaks for itself,” he shares. “It’s the kind of place where guests feel right at home—but also transported somewhere special.”


Dylan oversees a thorough training program to ensure each team member is well-versed in the restaurant’s service principles, including role play, bookwork, and food tastings that prepare the staff for every interaction.


And when it comes to favorites? Dylan doesn’t hesitate: “The Diavola pizza is my go-to. I love spice, and the combination of calabrese paste and spicy pepperoni is perfect—especially alongside a Smoked Old Fashioned or a glass of our house Mac’s Cabernet.”

With over two decades of hospitality experience, Joann Baker brings seasoned leadership and a guest-first mindset to her role as Assistant General Manager at Gianni & Mac’s. Her journey began at Fiddler’s Green in Winter Park, Florida, where she spent nearly 10 years mastering the art of service. She later led operations at a beloved family-owned Italian restaurant, helping elevate it into a catering cornerstone of the Winter Park community.



Joann continued to sharpen her expertise in event management at Ceviche Tapas Bar in historic Church Street Station and later at Oceanaire Seafood Room on Orlando’s International Drive, where she led private dining experiences with finesse. After relocating to Georgia in 2022, Joann found her home with Gianni & Mac’s, drawn to the brand’s vision, values, and unwavering commitment to excellence.


What sets Joann apart is her passion for turning ordinary evenings into unforgettable experiences. She’s a firm believer in “unreasonable hospitality” — finding new ways to go above and beyond for guests. Her favorite part of the job? Collaborating with a team that feels like family, all driven by the same desire to elevate every aspect of the dining experience.


Joann describes Gianni & Mac’s as “traditional chique” — a warm and welcoming space grounded in classic Italian tradition, yet elevated with modern sophistication. Alongside her team, she strives to deliver not just impeccable service, but memorable moments that keep guests coming back again and again.
